Harassment and Restraining Order Violations

First Offense DUI
Have you been arrested for operating under the influence (OUI) in the state of Massachusetts? The penalties for a first offense can be serious. Your license will be automatically suspended upon your arrest. In addition, you face up to a $5,000 fine and possible jail time up to 2½ years imprisonment if you are convicted.
To reinstate your license, you must go through the administrative process and request a hearing before the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.
In Massachusetts, it is illegal to drive if your blood alcohol content (BAC) is .08 percent or higher. It is also illegal to drive under the influence of marijuana, narcotics or other drugs.

You will also be required to follow the terms of your probation, which may require participation in an alcohol awareness program and/or community service
